Prince William and Kate Middleton's Foundation Reveals Their Plan to Aid COVID-19 Responders

Back in mid-March, when Queen Elizabeth issued her first personal statement addressing the novel coronavirus, she let the general public know they might "be assured that my family and that I stand able to play our part." because the crisis has worn on, that's taken the shape of televised speeches from the monarch herself, Charles opening a facility via video chat, Prince William and Kate Middleton's Zoom meeting with schools for the youngsters of healthcare workers, and more.

Now, Will and Kate have revealed their next steps to assist amid the continuing pandemic. The Duke and Duchess laid out a loose plan on their foundation's website, promising that the organization would "do all it can to support those on the frontline of responding to COVID-19 within the UK."

The statement reads:

The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will do all it can to support those on the frontline of responding to COVID-19 in the UK. In the weeks ahead The Foundation will be:

Working to connect our partners with those who are able to provide practical support to frontline responders and their families;

Doing all we can to promote and support the charities that can play a part in helping responders and their families with their mental health needs;

And playing our part in the national effort to thank and celebrate all those working on the frontline of this crisis.

Prince William has also recently pitched in to assist with the National Emergencies Trust, of which he was newly named patron. The Duke recorded a message in support of the Trust's fundraising efforts for local organizations. "Whenever and wherever adversity strikes, the people of the united kingdom have a singular ability to tug together," he said. "The way that local communities support those affected shows the absolute best of our values and attribute ."
